Should I preheat the oven to set the mug design?
You do not need to preheat the oven. Set the oven to 150°C (300°F) and place your painted ceramic inside. Bake for 30 minutes. Make sure the paint is fully dry first, which usually takes about 30 minutes of air drying. This helps seal the design so the colours stay vibrant even after multiple uses and washes.
How should I care for my painted pieces?
To keep your piece looking its best, always hand wash it and avoid the dishwasher to prevent the paint from fading. Dry it right after washing to avoid water marks. Your painted piece is not microwave safe and should be handled gently because it is fragile.
